2015 Year in Review

Highlights
  • Three scholars graduated from high school
  • Two scholars graduated from primary school
  • Three scholars completed a year of college
  • Three scholars received scholarships for supplemental English lessons
  • We moved into a new facility in Managua
  • Scholars consistently and effectively used our counseling services

Financial Summary
  • Received $33,309 in donations
  • Raised $22,418 through fundraising activities
  • Devoted 87% of our expenditures to direct program expenses in Nicaragua
  • Saved $2,514 for future initiatives and expenses ​

Volunteer Efforts
  • Vice President Daniel Schutrum-Boward volunteered at Casa VISEDAL for most of the summer
  • President Dylan Waugh, Board Member Ben Boone, and Daniel hosted a party at Casa VISEDAL to celebrate our scholars
  • U.S. volunteers organized fundraisers, designed our annual report, and sold items to benefit VISEDAL
  • A Villanova University student mentored scholars at Casa VISEDAL during the summer
